Though this may have been marked as
a loss on the Texas Longhorn’s record, it was an A+ for the crowd’s
participation! It was a chilly,
overcast start to the game, but that was nothing the stadium lights and a
record-breaking amount of people couldn’t fix. The band was cranking jams left and right, “Jump Around” had
the student section, including the Spirits, jumping and the stands squeaking
and creaking. Seniors were saying
it was one of the best games they have gone to since being in college, and I
couldn’t have asked for a better first UT game experience.
Mountaineers and Longhorns went
touchdown for touchdown, with the horns scoring within the last thirty seconds
of the game. The final score of
the game was 48-45.
Though Texas may have lost, but
only by 3 points, we showed West Virginia and the rest of the Big 12 that the Longhorns
won’t go down without a fight!
Needless to say, I know that I, and the rest of the student body, am
proud to be a Longhorn!
Hook’em!
