The Texas Spirits are proud to work with the Texas Round Table as the Public Relations chairs for UT's annual Pancakes for Parkinson's event on April 24, 2013, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Gregory Plaza. Come out and join us!
Pancakes for Parkinson's was founded in 2004. Since then these student-driven events, held on a number of university campuses across the nation, have raised $250,000 to benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
Our aim at UT is to raise public awareness and to educate people about Parkinson's disease, which strikes 1 person in 100 over the age of 60; while raising money to support the Michael J. Fox Foundation which is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease through an aggressively funded research agenda and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today.
UT students are proud to honor longtime faculty member and former VP of Student Affairs, Dr. James Vick and pledge that 100% of the donations raised during this event will go to the Michael J. Fox Foundation to further its goals.
Join us for a day full of pancakes, door prizes, and special Guest Flippers. Who knows? Maybe your favorite professor, athlete, or administrator may be joining us for pancakes too!
